raised on an oval lotus base his right leg standing on Apasmaru Purusha, the demon of ignorance, backed by open-mouthed makara, the left foot raised symbolic of liberation, and holding a damaru (drum) in his outstretched right hand, representing the five rhythms of manifestation, and the ratna (flaming jewel) in the left outstreched hand, and wearing elaborate jewellery and headdress

Condition Report
The figure with some surface pitting overall. A repair to the right leg just below the bracelet and above the ankle.
The ring of fire (flaming nimbus) and head wheel on the back of the head now missing. Some smoothing over the surface on the reverse of the makara.
The lotus base and base plate possibly associated.
