A gilt bronze group of Manjushri and consort, Nepal, 18th century

portrayed with six arms and three faces, seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, holding attributes including the vajra, bell ghanta, and sword, a flammiform mandorla attached to the back of the head, the consort seated to one side with hands in varada and vitarkamudra, both wearing dhoti and adorned with jewellery, earrings and a tiara, encircled around the base with an impressed possibly dated dedication in Newari script

Condition Report
Some surface wear to gilding. Attributes missing from the two right hands. An aperture to the lower right side probably for attachment of one end of the trailing scarf now missing. No base plate. Two sockets at the rear of the figure probably for the attachment of a mandorla now missing. Otherwise good condition.
