1996 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL R COUPE BY MULLINER PARK WARD

Much admired world–wide and closely following the tradition begun with W.O. Bentley’s vision in the famous vintage period of a large and very powerful car as exemplified by such cars as the Speed Six and the 8 litre, the Continental R of the 1990’s was true to the concept of the fabulous R-type Continental introduced in the early 1950s.

This example is finished in the very attractive Wildberry with matching white on maroon interior.

It was delivered in the UK and serviced there by ‘Straight 8’ and since by Bentley of Adelaide

The car that took the 1991 Geneva Motor Show by storm and was put onto production a year later is well represented by this 1996 example that has been beautifully maintained. Its effortless power comes from the turbocharged and intercooled 6.75 litre V8 engine capable of 150mph. The vehicle has been fitted with new heads and a water pump and has covered just 76,000 miles. It has its complete toolkit.
